A filmmaker, musician, and film critic who served as the editor-in-chief of legendary horror magazine Fangoria (and who is currently acting as the editor-in-chief of the excellent horror magazine Delirium), Mr. Alexander has chosen Alan Parker’s 1987 film Angel Heart for discussion.
With its genre-melding blend of noir and horror, Angel Heart inspires a talk on the film’s making, its music, the impressive work of Mickey Rourke and Robert De Niro, why the MPAA is utterly irrelevant, and the current state of horror magazines.
