Leatherface: TCM III with film journalist/producer Heather Buckley

A film journalist, award-winning FX shop supervisor, and Rondo Award-winning producer (whose latest film The Ranger is currently in post-production), Ms. Buckley has chosen Jeff Burr’s 1990 horror sequel Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III for discussion this week.

With its splatterpunk aesthetic and troubled history with the MPAA, Leatherface kicks off a conversation which covers the passing of Texas Chainsaw creator Tobe Hooper, part III director Jeff Burr’s career, and the dodgy continuity which ties the franchise together.  Along the way, we discuss the legendary “Excalibur” teaser trailer, how super-hot Leatherface is (!!!), and why the world needs a punk rock Leatherface.
